Named “Best Female Poet” and “Best Of The Rest” at her first national poetry competition in 2008, CARRIE RUDZINSKI is a full time performance poet who spends her time traveling and performing her work on stages around the world.
A veteran of the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational, Carrie performed on back-to-back Finals Stages at the 2008 and 2009 competitions, placing 4th in the nation with her Emerson College Slam Team in 2009. She returned to be co- director of the tournament in 2010, producing the largest CUPSI to date, held in Boston, MA.
Within fifteen months, Carrie toured the United States three times and represented Boston’s famous Cantab Lounge at the 2010 Individual World Poetry Slam and twice at the National Poetry Slam in 2010 and 2011. She ranked 14th in the world at the 2011 Women Of The World Poetry Slam in Columbus, Ohio.
Most recently, Carrie embarked on a poetry tour of the Southern Hemisphere, performing her work to audiences in New Zealand, Australia, and India.
She has been published twice in the online magazine Muzzle and had her first collection of poetry, A History Of Silence, published by Bicycle Comics in 2010 (available on Amazon). Her CD, Barefoot Whale Riders, is available on iTunes.
